Postponed not cancelled

Hello all our lovely brides and grooms to be,

These are really strange and bizarre times we are living through right now with Covid19, and we can only imagine the stress and anxiety you are faced with thinking about all the time, love and excitement you have put into planning your big day, only to be met with huge disappointment, and we can understand if you’ve even shed a tear or two.

For all the March, April, May and June brides and grooms that have postponed your day, do remember that it is just postponed and not cancelled! Think of the positives;

  • You will still get married to the man / woman of your dreams, it just will not be on the day you had initially planned!

  • You have more time to look forward to your big day, and let’s face it, the excitement of looking forward to something, is a butterfly-inducing emotion!

  • Your wedding may now be in a completely different season. You’ll now have time to think about how you can adapt what decor you already have, and how it can be seasonally adapted - your daffodils may have to be replaced with peonies.

  • Can you make a Pinterest board of seasonal flowers your florist can put in your bouquet?

  • Think of a pretty bolero jacket or cashmere stole to wear with your sleeveless dress if the weather is cooler?

  • Get yourself excited about your new wedding date - send out new Save the Date’s to all your guests via email and perhaps give your older guests a call - they will appreciate a chat!

“People are not going to not get married. The weddings may look different. They may be at a different time. They may be in a different location. They may be a different size or scale. But they’re not going to not get married.” Whether some relatives call in via Zoom or couples spend the day with only a handful of their nearest and dearest, innovative solutions are sure to abound eventually. - Rebecca Grinnals

If your decision is NOT to postpone, but to go ahead with your wedding, we have offered any couples who do not want to move their date the option of a live streaming service - we will live stream your wedding to all your guests who can’t make it to witness your ceremony, so they will be with you and witness your day with you. A private link can be sent out to them before your big day and they can ‘tune in’ to witness the “I Do’s”

Stay positive, and, if we can help in any way at all to make your day memorable, please do give us a call, or drop us an email.
