Matt & Claire’s Colour-filled Cantley House Wedding

We had such a fun day documenting Claire and Matt’s wedding day ay Cantley House. We had no idea what to expect after meeting them for their pre-wedding shoot and enjoying a lovely stroll along the Thames River and chatting about their wedding day - Claire said it was going to be different - little did we know!! Oh the joy!! What a rock star of a bride Claire was!

A black wedding dress (by Morilee ), rainbows and unicorns - her bouquet was real roses dyed in rainbow colours - this was a FUN wedding! As weddings go this was creative, imaginative, original and inspiring and very very fun! The staff at Cantley House Hotel were brilliant as always and gave Claire and Matt a wedding day to remember!

Their bridal prep suite was a hive of activity with the bridesmaids, both mother-of-the-bride and mother-of-the-groom having their hair and make up done by the very talented Emma who we can highly recommend - she was a calm voice with all the beauty tools at hand, including the very important crochet hook to button up Claire’s dress!

The ceremony was so special, it was a day long awaited and Matt looked on so proudly as Claire’s dad walked her down the aisle.

After the ceremony the couple walked through an epic confetti toss before being congratulated and toasted in the gardens with champagne and canapés. Guests mingled in the sunshine whilst we took some group shots, as well as the aerial heart shaped group shot that Matt and Claire had specifically asked for!

The decor and details were so different and so unique - they chose a black and white theme with ostrich feathers as table centre pieces. The Stables was transformed like we’ve never seen before!

After the heartfelt speeches, the wedding breakfast was served, and, as the sun was still very high in the sky, we left the bride and groom to soak up the adoration and celebrations with their guests for a while and enjoy the delicious food served by the Cantley team. Once the light had softened and evening was approaching, we whisked the newlyweds away into the fields behind Cantley House, for a romantic “just the two of us” stroll alone together, their first time as husband and wife.
